High Grade Edwards Plateau Flint
Workmanship includes well executed bifacial horizontal transverse pressure flaking with scars
extending across the blade on the ventral face which results in a very thin lenticular cross
section. The stem has multiple longitudinal thinning strikes on the dorsal face while on the ventral
basal margin it has multiple short steep direct pressure flakes which give the appearance of a very
slight bevel. Patina is quite heavy with abundant mineral deposits consistent with a field or dune
field type of find as evident by the amount of wind blown sand polish.

243-2010 Clovis Atlatl Dart Point. $600 obo
Gem Moss Agate
This super fine Clovis is made of a gorgeous honey, amber, and rootbeer semi translucent moss agate having red to purple colored flowers in the stone matrix. It was made using bifacial collateral
pressure flaking resulting in weak median ridges followed by a long narrow flute on the ventral face and short multiple flutes on the dorsal face. A remnant fluting nipple is present where the maker chose not to flute again, instead heavily abraded and ground to a near polish not only in the basal margin concavity, but also along the lateral stem edges. The patina is heavy with abundant wind blown and possibly river, creek, or lake bed polish giving a rich waxy devitrified luster. The tip is interesting as it appears to have been anciently resharpened into distinctive robust nipple used for bone tool working. Overall condition is excellent.
