Northwest Art and Collectibles Terms of Sale

All Sales are Final after 30 Days

1) All items sold by Northwest Art and Collectibles to the best of our knowledge were obtained within lawful parameters.

2) We evaluate each item carefully and implicitly guarantee that the items are as described.

3) If the item is modern flintknapping art or has been modified post European contact, we will clearly state so, otherwise we implicitly guarantee the item to be ancient authentic. A certificate of authenticity or COA by a credible mainstream authenticator accompanying any relic we sell that was issued by Dwain Rogers, Bill Jackson, Jeb Taylor, Ben Stermer, Dewey Dietz, Steve Wallmann, or Jim Bennett attests and certifies that the item is ancient authentic.

4) If you require a 3rd party evaluation or a COA on an item, this request must be made in writing in advance to any purchase and all parties must be agreeable to the terms.

5) We offer a conditional 30 day return privilege subject to the following conditions:

a) The item is returned within 30 days unless different terms are explicitly detailed in writing prior to completing the sale.

b) That the item is returned unadulterated. This means no vigorous scrubbing off mineral deposits, chemically stripping glue or labels, no mishandling damage. Also that the item is included along with ALL documentation, is securely packaged and shipped with proper tracking, signature confirmation tracking and full replacement cost insurance value. If the item has been damaged or adulterated in any way due to willful or unwillful neglect, the item will be returned with a written explanation recording the events and the sale will be consider final. In other words, 'break it, you buy it', 'modify it by vigorously scrubbing because someone else told you to do that, well you have just bought it'.

c) The buyer is responsible to cover shipping costs on their end.

6) Return items that Northwest Art and Collectibles consigned to a 3rd party business, are subject to the terms of that business and the buyer. In other words, if you purchase an item that I consigned to another dealer, and you don't like it because it doesn't match the color of your shag rug, then you need to contact the person you bought the item from.

7) Speaking of privacy, if you decide to disparage Northwest Art and Collectibles or Myself in any public forum including eBay feedback with the thought of leveraging a return or defaming our business, well then you just finalized the sale.We do not provide client information to third parties.

8) We do not issue refunds on any item after the 30-day conditional return period expires.

9) A 10-day grace holding period will occur upon request to purchase an item. If beyond the 10-days no payment is received, then hold will be removed from the item and it will return as available to be purchased on the open market.

10) Layaways terms available up to a 90-day holding period provided that at least a 25% down payment is received within the 10-day grace period and payment is full by the end of the 90th day. At the end of the 90-day holding period if the layaway is not paid in full, then a 5% restocking fee will be assessed and the balance previously paid will be refunded. Any price discounts that were negotiated prior to discussing layaway terms are null and void once the buyer decides to purchase an item through layaway. In unique circumstances involving large purchases between myself and a long time friend, I will allow for accommodations, however receiving a regular payment each month and meeting the payment plan goes a long way of establishing trust and credibility.

11) We accept payment via personal check, money order, cash, or PayPal.

12) Items will be shipped within 3 business days of receiving and clearing payment with our respective financial institution.

13) Standard shipping expense costs are paid by Northwest Art and Collectibles include shipping through the US Postal System using Priority or Registered Mail with standard Delivery Confirmation, Signature Confirmation and Postal Insurance. We always securely bubble wrap the items, pack with foam peanuts and sometimes stiffen the parcel with extra card board. Expedited shipping through Express Mail, UPS, or Fed-Ex will be paid for in full by the buyer.

14) For Texas Residents: State, Local and County Taxes at a combined total rate equal to 8.25% of the final sales price is charged on all items shipped within the State of Texas in compliance with Texas State Tax Laws.

15) We do not add a 3% PayPal usage surcharge, 13% buyers purchase fees like other dealers and auction houses do.

16) If you are a curator at a federal or state museum or exhibit and are seeking to procure a particular item from Northwest Art and Collectibles Inventory and can provide me with a donation tax receipt that the IRS will accept along with appropriate legal documentation, then we are willing to consider endowing your museum or exhibit with an inventory donation.718) Only the facts as we understand them will be included in the Certificate of Evaluation and Provenance.
