547-2010) Hawken Side Notched Dart Point or Knife made of earthy colored agatized and opalized Columbia Plateau Petrified Wood. The maker used random percussion followed by a mix of random and selective pressure flaking to create a medium sized triangular knife with shallow side notches, overall the workmanship is quite good save for an opalized section of the petrified wood that was difficult to work and ended up with moderate stacking on the ventral face, still a good quality Archaic relic that grades G6.5 and measures approx 2 7/16". Ben Stermer issued a COA as a Plateau Side Notch which is a typology I have never heard off and respect his evaluation so am open-minded to learning something new all of the time, however I am familiar with Hawken as having owned a few and think this one could also type as such. Was reportedly from a small private family collection assembled during the 1950's near Vantage in Kittitas Co, WA, x David Fauske Coll,  $150 obo

396-2010) Bilateral Harpoon made of a heavily patinated and mineralized antler. This specimen measures approx 5 1/32" in length where the maker spent an incredible amount of time and effort creating it by carefully sawing, abrading and finally polishing to form. The 6 shark fin shaped barbs and the tip are intact as is the socketed haft. There is some erosional spots in the antler, but overall this perishable artifact is in incredible condition, it is easily Museum World Class G10+ Quality, unique. 399-2010) Wishram Totemic Effigy Carving made of a heavily patinated and mineralized antler. This specimen was recovered along the Columbia River near the town of Wishram in Klickitat County, WA during the early 20th Century, x Michael Hough, Terry Baxter Colls. It has been published in Lar Hothem's Ornamental Indian Artifacts book on page 131, plate 1, number 2.  This incredible artifact measures approx 3 3/8" in length, it has intricate details in the carving that may represent a Bear wearing an elongated ringed conical hat similar in mythology to Fraser River seated figuring bowls where the rings represent the tail of a rattlesnake. There are a erosional spots and a small flaked off section on the front of the 'hat' otherwise in great condition for such an old perishable. Likely this artifact served as an amulet or was worn as a pendant by it's maker. This is a world class, G10+ Quality artifact, unique. $2,000 obo
