Ordering Basics

The ordering process at Northwest Art and Collectibles is very easy and straight forward. I recommend using email if you have several items as it keep things straight and organized, however I am comfortable in taking your order by phone call too.

Email Address: roddiemichel@yahoo.com

Telephone: (406) - 490 -1091, the best time to reach me is in the evenings on business days from 6pm to 10pm and 11am-11pm on weekends.

It is most helpful to write down the item number, a very brief description of the piece, the list price and which page the item is on. This saves me alot of time searching for the item and in case you call me when I am away from a computer, will help me visualize which piece you are interested in so I can anticipate or answer different questions that you might have.

Other Thoughts and Helpful Tips Related to Purchasing in General

Also when negotiating discounts, it is customary to refrain from requesting discounts on inventory that has been posted during the 1st week. Generally discounts tend to increase for items that have been posted and unsold over a longer period of time, whereas newer listings most businesses will lean towards holding out for a better price, particularly with unique 'one of a kind' artworks. Reason being is that there are many buyers whom don't mind paying full price in order to be guaranteed of securing the item for their collection. Whereas some folks tend to lose out on items because psychologically they cannot stomach the idea of paying full retail for anything, no matter the quality or rarity.

A general rule of thumb is that larger purchase volume and price equates to improved discounting potential.

Another rule of thumb is that by paying by personal check or money order, this means less expense than PayPal or credit card, hence improved discount potential.

Yet another rule of thumb is that long term clients whom regularly place orders tend to receive the best discounts and private pre listing viewings of items that they are focused on collecting.

If you have special shipping requests such as send Attention To: or Courtesy Of: please include this information at the time of placing the order.

If you require a COA on an item that does not already have a COA from a different authenticator prior to committing to purchase it, then I will be happy to send it in. If however the item already has at least 1 COA and you don't like that authenticators opinion, then I will be happy to send it in with the stipulation that the item is still available for purchase. So if someone comes along and agrees to purchase the item, then they get dibs. The best way to eliminate this risk is for you to send me payment in full, the payment clears, I ship the piece to you, and you send it in to your favorite authenticator.
